In front of you are the new official Internet pages of Public institution »Maksimir«.

On these pages we would like to introduce you with history, cultural and natural heritage of Maksimir Park, and the efforts of the City of Zagreb and our Institution in restoring Park's splendor.

It was difficult to give a closer view of all the beauties and values of Park Maksimir in such a small space in a way Bishop Haulik, Park's creator and shaper, managed to do in only one sentence. In stating his inspiration for creating the Park, he said:

»AS AN ADORNMENT OF METROPOLIS, AS WELL AS THE PRIDE OF HOMELAND AND SOLES TIRED OF PUBLIC WORKS AND LIFE'S REALITY«
